Description | A delightful coffee cake |
Cake
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Cinnamon-Nut Topping
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup walnuts
Cream butter until soft. Mix in sugar and cream. Add eggs and beat well. Mix together flour, soda, baking powder, salt. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in vanilla. Pour half of batter into lightly greased tube pan. Mix together ingredients for cinnamon-nut topping, and sprinkle half on top of batter. Pour remaining batter into pan and sprinkle on remaining nut mixture. Bake 325( for 40 minutes.
