Caramel Sauce
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup half and half cream
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Pie
- Chocolate pie crust (Keebler or Nabisco)
- 3 pints vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream
- Toasted pecan halves
Fill pie crust with ice cream and press toasted pecan halves over the top. Freeze. Combine butter, cream, sugar, and brown sugar in saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cut pie into 8 pieces. Pour caramel sauce over each piece. Serve with sauce hot or cold.
