2 cups long grain rice 4 cups water 3 green onions, sliced 1 teaspoon salt 1 Tablespoon Minor's chicken base or, if you cannot find that, Wyler's Chicken Bouillon granules 2 Tablespoons safflower oil
Put all ingredients into a 6 to 8 quart stockpot. Bring to boil and then turn down to simmer for 15 minutes. Stir a couple of times while simmering.
